Roles and Core Responsibilities

  • Radar System Design: Contributing to the design and development of radar systems for naval vessels.
  • System Integration: Integrating radar systems with other shipboard systems, such as navigation, weapon control, and communication systems.
  • Maintenance and Repair: Overseeing the maintenance and repair of radar equipment, including antennas, transmitters, receivers, and processors.
  • Troubleshooting: Identifying and resolving radar system malfunctions.
  • Performance Optimization: Ensuring optimal radar performance through calibration and adjustments.
  • Signal Processing: Analyzing radar data to extract relevant information for navigation, target tracking, and weapon guidance.
  • Countermeasures: Understanding radar countermeasures and developing techniques to mitigate their effects.
  • Training: Providing training to ship’s crew on radar operation and maintenance.
