Roles and Core Responsibilities

  • Develops new component concepts based on product requirements and market trends.
  • Creates detailed component designs using CAD software and other engineering tools.
  • Conducts feasibility studies to assess the viability of design concepts.
  • Performs simulations and analyses to evaluate component performance and identify potential issues.
  • Optimizes component design for cost, weight, and performance.
  • Oversees the creation of component prototypes.
  • Conducts rigorous testing to validate component performance and reliability.
  • Analyses test results and makes necessary design modifications.
  • Selects appropriate materials based on component function, cost, and environmental factors.
  • Ensures material compatibility with other components and manufacturing processes.
  • Works closely with manufacturing engineers to ensure smooth production of components.
  • Provides technical support for manufacturing processes and troubleshooting.
  • Creates and maintains detailed component design documentation.
