CFD Simulation Engineer

A CFD (Computational Fluid Dynamics) Simulation Engineer leverages advanced computer software to simulate fluid flow and heat transfer phenomena. They play a crucial role in optimizing product design, enhancing performance, and reducing development costs across various industries.

Roles and Core Responsibilities 

  • Develops accurate and detailed computational models of physical systems, including geometry, boundary conditions, and material properties.
  • Employs pre-processing software to create high-quality meshes for CFD simulations.
  • Configures and runs CFD simulations using specialized software packages.  
  • Monitors simulation progress and identifies potential issues or errors.  
  • Post-processes simulation results to extract relevant data and generate visualizations.  
  • Analyses flow patterns, pressure distributions, temperature fields, and other relevant parameters.
  • Collaborates with engineers to optimize product designs based on CFD results.
  • Proposes design modifications to improve performance, efficiency, or safety.
  • Compares simulation results with experimental data to ensure model accuracy.  
  • Implements necessary corrections to improve model fidelity.
