SHARANG is an up-gunned 155 mm x 45 Caliber Gun developed through in-house R&D by up-gunning the existing 130 mm M46 Gun System. SHARANG is capable of achieving a range of more than 36 km.
The up-gunned system is a proven accurate and reliable gun system and has also been accepted by Indian Army. The weapon system is simple to operate and maintain. The Sharang Towed 155/45 Cal Gun is designed for worldwide service under all climatic conditions and can re all existing standard 155 mm ammunition. 155 mm Sharang Artillery Gun is in-service since 2020.
